Anyone who is remotely interested in driving needs to come to The Island HDT (horse driving trial) at Avalon Equestrian Centre in Duncan on August 28 & 29. Not only do we need spectators and volunteers, but Gerard Paagman of Ideal Harness will have his GINORMOUS harness "store on wheels' here. The quality of the goods he carries is excellent, and he prices are amazingly good. Contact me if you need more info.

Ulke (as a 4yr old) is just now eligible so we have been training and will be going.
Ryker will also be going.
I have also heard there is a Pair of Friesians coming from the interior so come and watch if you don't drive but love the thrill :)

Well competitors started arriving yesterday, and Ideal Harness' HUGE trailer is already there too. Come and check it out - Avalon Equestrian Centre on Herd Road in Duncan. The weather should be PERFECT this weekend

Ideal Harness people were at the 70 mile event as well. They were excellent folks to buy from!!!
Hope everyone had a safe event! I've been practicing tandem here for the big Interior Provincial Exhibition and am sooooo tempted to continue getting the two mares going better to hit up a combined drive or two next year with them in tandem...
